KELTEC Technolab was founded in 1982 by Ed Kaiser Sr., a veteran Air Maze Corporation engineer, with a clear market gap to fill: compressed air users were paying OEM prices for consumable service parts — separators, filters, oil — that could be manufactured to the same specification at a lower cost. Starting with air-oil separators, KELTEC built a cross-reference system and grew it methodically over four decades.
Strategic acquisitions broadened the catalog: Technolab in 2002, Chicopee Engineering in 2016, and Air Supply Company in 2019.
