Brazilian piston and rotary screw compressors with a targeted air-treatment line.
Reliable. Targeted. Field-proven.
Schulz was established on June 12, 1963, in Brazil as a small metalworking shop with 26 employees. By 1972 the company had shifted fully to air compressor production, and within a decade it had become the market leader in Brazil and, subsequently, throughout Latin America — a position it has held for over 40 years.
Schulz of America entered North American distribution in 1980 and established its Atlanta-area headquarters in 1999 to support US sales, aftermarket parts, and distribution. Today the brand operates in more than 70 countries. In 2001 Schulz became the first Brazilian air compressor manufacturer to export tanked compressors into the United States. A second manufacturing hub opened in Shanghai in 2017 to serve Asian markets. The North American product focus centers on what Schulz does best at the commercial and light-industrial scale: reliable piston pumps for 1–4 HP reciprocating applications, and the SMH series hot-inlet dryer that solves the high-discharge-temperature problem that standard refrigerated dryers cannot handle. Certifications include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, UL, ETL, ASME (tanks), and CE (dental line).
Schulz pumps and SMH dryers reach SPC through its distribution network, which means catalog pricing and a clear lead time without the wait of a direct-factory order.
SPC specifies Schulz where the application calls for it — MSI/MSL/MSV pumps when a customer needs a reliable replacement or OEM-spec piston pump, SMH dryers when the install has a hot compressor discharge.
Through the distribution network, Schulz availability and pricing are backed by aggregated demand across the network, with SPC as the single point of contact for quoting, lead time, and after-sale support.
General Manufacturing → Light-industrial piston pumps and hot-inlet dryers for production shop compressor systems.
Automotive Manufacturing → Reliable 1–4 HP piston pumps for shop compressor replacement in body and service applications.
Metalworking & Fabrication → Piston pump replacement and hot-inlet drying for machine shop compressor systems.
Woodworking & Furniture → Compact piston pumps for finishing and production shop reciprocating compressors.
Food & Beverage Processing → ASME-coded tanks and ISO-certified pumps for light food-plant compressed-air applications. The MSI/MSL/MSV pump series covers 1–4 HP. For applications above 4 HP, step up to a different pump line — Schulz pumps are optimized for the light-industrial piston compressor range.
If the compressor discharge exceeds 100°F before reaching the dryer inlet, specify the Schulz SMH hot-inlet dryer. Standard refrigerated dryers derate above 100°F and will not hit target dew point under hot conditions.
The MSI/MSL/MSV reversible head handles both orientations without additional fittings. Specify the discharge side at order; no field modification required.
For replacement: match the HP and cylinder configuration to the worn pump and call SPC with the existing pump model for a cross-reference. For new builds: size CFM to application demand at max working pressure (125–140 PSI) and let SPC select the MSI/MSL/MSV model.
Tell us the spec and the account and we will come back with the right line, sourced through the distribution network.
