The price-floor choice for non-critical air-preparation drops.
Economy. Ready. Reliable.
Midwest Control is a division of Intech Industries Inc, operating as a pneumatic wholesaler, master distributor, OEM supplier, and contract manufacturer of air compressor and pneumatic system components. For more than 26 years the company has focused on a single mission: be the premier supplier of economy-tier pneumatic components to air compressor OEMs, industrial equipment builders, and the distribution channel.
The product catalog spans the full compressor and pneumatic accessories range — FRL units, regulators, valves, gauges, fittings, hoses, condensate management, and tank hardware. Midwest Control's value is simple: broad SKU coverage, inventory depth, and a price point that makes it the right answer when the application does not justify a premium-brand specification.
SPC carries Midwest Controls as an authorized distributor, so economy FRL units are available on the same purchase order as the rest of the machine inlet spec — no secondary sourcing required.
Not every machine drop needs a premium brand.
Economy FRL units are a common MRO replacement target.
General Manufacturing → Economy FRL units for machine inlets and general pneumatic systems on the plant floor.
Automotive Manufacturing → MRO replacement FRL and valve components for production and assembly lines.
Packaging & Printing → Budget air-preparation units for non-critical pneumatic drops in packaging machinery.
Material Handling & Conveyors → Low-cost regulator and filter-regulator drops for conveyor and handling equipment.
HVAC & Building Systems → Compressor accessories and FRL for building mechanical and HVAC compressor stations. Standalone regulator where the supply air is already filtered upstream. Filter-regulator (FR) where particulate removal is needed at the drop. Full FRL combination where the machine also requires lubrication — check the manufacturer's actuator spec before adding lubricator to a non-lubricated circuit.
Midwest Control is the economy-tier choice for non-critical drops where downtime risk is low and cost is the primary constraint. Critical process or precision-instrument drops warrant a premium-tier FRL with tighter tolerance and better contamination control.
For MRO, match the port size (1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" NPT) and pressure rating of the existing unit. For new installations, size the regulator to the downstream flow demand and select the appropriate filter micron rating for the air quality needed.
