The Receiver-Protection Standard.
ASME. Certified. Proven.
Kingston Valves has manufactured safety and relief valves in Illinois since 1947. Engineering, production, assembly, and flow testing all happen at the same domestic facility — a single-site model that keeps quality control in one place and traceability intact from raw material to certified product.
The KNG line covers the full range of ASME Section VIII compressed-air receiver protection: brass, carbon steel, and stainless-steel bodies in six orifice sizes from D through J, with set pressures to 300 PSI and National Board registration on every unit. The 118CSS hard-seat line extends coverage to wash-down and corrosive environments. Kingston also manufactures ASME Section I boiler valves and cryogenic service valves, giving the brand depth beyond the compressor room. Quality is governed by an ISO 9001-registered system, and each safety valve carries the documentation an inspector requires — National Board certification, ASME code stamp, and published relieving capacity at standard set-pressure increments.
SPC sources Kingston through its distribution network, with depth on the brass-body KNG line — the workhorse of standard compressed-air receiver protection.
Every Kingston relief valve SPC supplies carries ASME Section VIII and National Board certification.
SPC quotes relief valves alongside air receivers as a standard practice — no separate sourcing step, no code-compliance gap.
General Manufacturing → ASME-required receiver protection on every stationary compressor installation.
Food & Beverage Processing → Stainless hard-seat line for wash-down and food-contact environments.
Automotive Manufacturing → Receiver safety valves on compressed-air systems supporting robotics and tooling.
Metalworking & Fabrication → Code-stamped relief on high-pressure receivers in fabrication and machining shops.
Chemical & Petrochemical → Corrosion-resistant stainless body options for aggressive-atmosphere service.
Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Laboratory → Documented, traceable ASME relief on clean-room compressor receivers. KNG series covers 15 to 300 PSI in standard increments. Match the set pressure to the receiver's maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) — the valve must open at or below MAWP, never above it.
Kingston publishes certified air capacity at 100, 200, and 300 PSI for each orifice size. Select the orifice (D through J) whose relieving SCFM equals or exceeds the compressor's rated output at the set pressure.
Brass (KNG-series) for standard dry indoor compressed-air service. Stainless steel (118CSS hard-seat) for wash-down, food-grade, outdoor, or corrosive-atmosphere installations.
KNG series spans 1/2 in through 3 in NPT inlet — align with the receiver outlet port size. Larger orifices require larger connections; confirm the port thread before specifying.
