Inlet Protection — The Whole Company, Not a Side Line.
Filter. Silence. Protect.
Solberg Manufacturing was founded in 1968 in Itasca, Illinois, tracing its origins to a 1966 invention: a tubular silencer design for air compressor intakes by Charles H. Solberg Sr.
That single-product focus became the company's identity. For more than 55 years, Solberg has built nothing but industrial filtration, silencing, and separation products — inlet filters, filter-silencers, exhaust silencers, oil mist eliminators, and replacement elements for compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, and engines.
Solberg is ISO 9001:2015 certified and manufactures in the United States, with a global footprint of more than 20 facilities across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. The range is built around replaceable filter elements — a design philosophy that turns every installed Solberg housing into a recurring service account and keeps replacement elements available for the products already in the field.
The product line covers 99%+ particle removal efficiency across multiple media options (polyester, paper, HEPA, high-efficiency synthetic) and an operating window of −15°F to 220°F, making Solberg housings suitable for indoor and outdoor installations across the full compressor SCFM range.
Solberg replacement elements are carried as a service item.
Through its distribution network, SPC can size and source Solberg intake filters and filter-silencers alongside the compressor itself, so the customer's inlet protection is spec'd in from day one rather than added as an afterthought.
As a Parker company, Solberg carries broad housing cross-references that help SPC and distribution network reps match a replacement or upgrade onto compressors already running in the field — reducing the research burden on the customer.
General Manufacturing → Compressor intake filtration for plant-air systems across light and heavy manufacturing.
Oil & Gas / Energy → Inlet filters and filter-silencers for gas-compression and process-gas applications.
Power Generation → Intake protection for gas turbines and reciprocating engine compressors.
Chemical & Petrochemical → Solvent-resistant and ATEX-rated filter assemblies for hazardous-atmosphere inlets.
Food & Beverage Processing → Hygienic inlet filtration where compressor air contacts product or packaging. Outdoor or weather-exposed inlets call for the F Series weatherhood housing. Indoor installations or clean environments can use the FT Series low-restriction exposed housing for minimal pressure drop.
Where the compressor runs indoors and noise is a compliance issue, the FS Series filter-silencer combines 99%+ filtration with intake noise reduction in one housing — no separate muffler required.
The F/FT range covers 55 to 880+ SCFM across 1/2"–3"+ connections. Larger installations (blowers, gas turbines) are served by the wider FS Series to approximately 8,000 SCFM.
Standard polyester for general plant air; paper for dry, low-humidity environments; HEPA or high-efficiency synthetic for fine-particulate or sensitive process-air applications. Confirm ambient temperature is within the −15°F to 220°F operating window.
