When the catalog stops, Samuel PVG engineers the vessel — full ASME Section VIII Div 1 and Div 2 fabrication from vacuum to 3,000 PSI, 12 to 60,000 gallons.
Engineered. Fabricated. Stamped.
Samuel Pressure Vessel Group is North America's largest fabricator of ASME-coded air receivers and engineered pressure vessels, built through the combination of multiple specialist fabricators — including Steel Fab, Northland Stainless, LZR FIT, and Silvan Industries — into a single group representing over 142 years of combined fabrication experience. The group's five divisions share engineering capability, ASME-certified welders, and quality infrastructure across all facilities, allowing it to take a project from a customer's PFD to a National Board-registered U-stamped vessel without subcontracting the engineering review.
The standard product catalog covers 48+ designs ready to ship from stock; the engineered division handles custom geometry, high-pressure ratings, multi-chamber internals, and volumes too large for any catalog to carry. Samuel PVG fabricates more than 100,000 ASME pressure vessels for compressed- air applications every year and reports a 99.9% on-time delivery rate. All locations are ISO 9001:2015 certified, and the company holds approval to multiple international codes — including AS1210, PED/CE, GOST, and ABS/Lloyds marine — making it the vessel partner of choice when a project crosses borders.
SPC is an authorized channel to Samuel PVG — North America's largest ASME air-receiver and pressure-vessel manufacturer.
Specialty-vessel projects stall most often at the engineering-review gate.
SPC pairs the Samuel PVG vessel with the rest of the engineered system — ASME safety relief valve, pressure regulation, instrumentation, and upstream generation.
General Manufacturing → Standard ASME air receivers for compressed-air storage at industrial facilities.
Chemical & Petrochemical → Engineered vessels with custom materials, pressure ratings, and multi-chamber designs.
Oil & Gas / Energy → High-pressure and large-volume vessels with ABS/Lloyds and international code compliance.
Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Laboratory → Stainless vessels with FDA-compatible finishes and full audit documentation.
Food & Beverage Processing → Stainless-steel ASME receivers with sanitary-grade internal finishes.
Power Generation → Large-volume and high-pressure receivers for instrument air and control systems. Standard catalog receivers cover up to 200 PSI for most plant-air applications. Ratings between 200 and 3,000 PSI move into the engineered-to-order program with Div 1 or Div 2 design depending on the pressure class.
Stock designs run from 12 to 5,000 gallons with 4-week lead time for non-stock standards. Projects above 5,000 gallons through 60,000 gallons are fully custom-engineered; engage SPC early to lock in fabrication schedule.
US-only projects: ASME + National Board. Canadian sites add CRN per province. Export projects specify the applicable code (PED, AS1210, GOST, ABS/Lloyds) at spec-lock — Samuel PVG can produce to multiple codes in one vessel.
Carbon steel is standard for compressed-air receivers in dry service. Specify stainless (304 or 316) for wet gas, process fluids, corrosive environments, food-grade or pharmaceutical service requiring sanitary finishes.
