Polyconn was founded in 1981 as a division of W.P. Nugent Co.

Inc. in Plymouth, Minnesota, at the request of OEMs, distributors, and MRO accounts who needed a consistent, reliable source of pneumatic tubing, fittings, and connection devices. Over 45 years the division has built a catalog distinguished by material breadth — polyurethane, nylon, FEP, PVDF, and polyethylene — rather than single-material depth.

The business model is purpose-built for the distribution channel: Polyconn maintains a large inventory of pneumatic parts, which means specialty configurations — coiled PU, multi-bore drops, DOT-brake nylon, metric fluoropolymer — are available for quick-turn orders rather than project-only buys. That inventory depth across five tubing materials is what makes Polyconn the single-source option for multi-material pneumatic projects.

Beyond tubing, the Polyconn catalog extends into push-to-connect fittings, manifolds, valves, filters, regulators, and the Duratec pipe system, covering the full pneumatic connection range from the compressor outlet to the point of use.

Not sure which Polyconn line?

Answer a question or two and we'll point you to the right Polyconn tubing material.
Material — what environment does the tubing live in?

PU for constant-flex, general-purpose, or color-ID circuits. Nylon for high-pressure (240–350 PSI) or temperature extremes (−60°F to +200°F). FEP for chemical inertness or heat to +400°F. PVDF/Kynar for abrasion resistance in semi-rigid runs. PE for low-pressure utility, fluid, or FDA food-contact lines.

Straight or coiled/specialty construction?

Straight tubing for panel wiring and fixed runs. Coiled self-storing PU for tool-drop lines and robot end-effector connections. Multi-bore for multi-circuit drops from a single manifold. Ribbon for flat, color-coded panel builds.

DOT compliance required?

Transport air-brake applications (commercial vehicles, trailers) require DOT/FMVSS 106 nylon tubing — Polyconn's DOT variant is available in standard sizes. Standard nylon is not a valid substitute on a DOT-regulated circuit.

Metric or inch OD?

Polyconn offers both inch and metric OD sizes on FEP, nylon, and select PU lines. Confirm the fitting system (push-to-connect fitting OD bore) before ordering — metric and inch OD are not interchangeable in the same fitting.
