Kaishan Holding Group was founded in 1956 in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, and has been manufacturing compressed air equipment for over 60 years. The group exports to more than 100 countries and operates wholly-owned manufacturing and R&D facilities in the United States, with a 130,000-square-foot US factory in Loxley, Alabama built on lean manufacturing methodology.
The KRSP rotary screw compressor line is engineered around a patented low-speed airend — the SKY design — with a 1:1 direct drive ratio that eliminates the gear transmission losses found in conventional high-speed airends. Available in fixed-speed and variable-speed (VSD) configurations, the KRSP spans 40 to 500 HP in single-stage form, covering the large-horsepower range where the competitive set shrinks and premium-brand pricing climbs steeply.
Kaishan is a CAGI member and participates in the industry's standardized performance reporting program. The US operation targets industrial sectors from aerospace and automotive to food and beverage and oil and gas, and has built a distributor channel across North America positioned to support the full compressor lifecycle.

Below 40 HP, the Kaishan catalog extends to smaller models but KRSP is optimized for the mid-to-large industrial range. Confirm the system flow and pressure requirement before sizing — HP alone does not determine the right model.
Constant demand systems with a flat load profile are well-served by the fixed-speed KRSP at lower capital cost. Plants where demand varies by shift, season, or production mix should specify the VSD variant — the variable-speed drive maintains efficiency across the speed range, not just at full load.
Air-cooled configurations suit most plant installations. Water-cooled configurations are available for high-ambient environments or applications where heat rejection into the space is a concern. Confirm cooling water availability and quality before specifying water-cooled.
The standard KRSP line covers typical industrial pressure ranges. Confirm the required discharge pressure matches the model specification — systems requiring unusually high pressure may need a two-stage configuration or a different series.
