Hubbell Industrial Controls is the industrial electrical controls division of Hubbell Incorporated, a US manufacturer of electrical products with a history spanning over a century. The industrial controls line is best known in the compressed air industry for the Class 69J pressure switch platform — a field-adaptable, heavy-duty switch designed specifically for air compressor control that has become a standard across the industry.
The 69J platform is engineered around flexibility: the unloader can be mounted on either side of the switch body and rotated to any of eight positions, which simplifies installation and reduces the tubing run required in the field. A single platform covers 1-phase and 3-phase voltages, 1-port and 4-port manifold configurations, standard and lever-unloader variants, and cut-out ranges from 80 to 175 PSI — meaning one product family handles the full range of compressor control scenarios a distributor encounters.
The 69JG and broader 69J series carry UL, CSA, and CE approvals, giving them the safety certifications required for commercial and industrial installations across North American and international markets.

Single-tank compressors typically use a 1-port switch. Multi-tank or multi-line systems may need the 4-port manifold configuration to handle multiple pressure sensing points on one switch body. Confirm the number of pressure ports on the existing manifold.
Reciprocating compressors typically require an unloader valve to allow the motor to start under no load — specify a lever-unloader variant. Rotary screw compressors with their own integral unloader control generally use a standard (non-unloader) pressure switch.
