Compressor-duty motors that just bolt on.
Motors. Pumps. OEM scale.
EMZ Industries, Inc. is a U.S.-based electric motor company whose partners began in motor distribution in the United States and motor manufacturing in China in the 1990s, and now bring roughly three decades of experience to the business.
EMZ builds AC motors from 1/4 HP through 500 HP — NEMA and three-phase designs — alongside a pool- and spa-pump line, producing hundreds of thousands of units a year for OEM customers and distributors across the U.S. and Canada, much of it under private label.
Through the distribution network, SPC carries EMZ's compact compressor-duty motor line: special-purpose 56-frame open drip-proof (ODP) single-phase motors built to drop straight onto a reciprocating compressor. It is a value motor sourced for the replacement and OEM builds where the spec is a known frame and horsepower, not an engineered premium-efficiency package.
SPC sources the EMZ line through its distribution network, so the compressor-duty motor comes on one purchase order with one point of contact — no direct-import overhead for a value motor.
A compressor motor only works if the frame, horsepower, voltage, and rotation match the pump.
Backed by an OEM-scale manufacturer and aggregated demand across the distribution network, the common 56-frame horsepowers stay available with SPC as the single quoting and support contact.
For a worn single-phase reciprocating-compressor motor, match the EMZ 56-frame line to the original horsepower, voltage, and rotation. For an OEM build, the same 56-frame ODP motor drops onto the pump with the correct service factor.
The line covers 2–5 HP (including SPL ratings) at 115/230 V, 3600 RPM, with a 1.00 service factor and counter-clockwise rotation. Confirm the frame and HP against the unit being replaced.
Tell us the spec and the account and we will come back with the right line, sourced through the distribution network.
