Built to run. Built to last.

Atlas Copco was founded in Stockholm in 1873 and has spent more than 150 years building compressed air and industrial equipment. The compressor technique division — the one SPC carries — is the global benchmark for rotary screw technology: Atlas Copco engineers pioneered the oil-injected rotary screw compressor for industrial use and has continued to lead on efficiency, control, and reliability across every subsequent generation of the technology.

The company operates in more than 180 countries and employs approximately 55,000 people worldwide. Every Atlas Copco Compressor Technique manufacturing site is certified to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety). The oil-free compressor range carries an independent ISO 8573-1 Class 0 certification — a third-party audit, not a self-declaration — covering both the AQ rotary and the SF scroll lines.

In North America, Atlas Copco operates as a direct-presence organization with its own factory-trained service network. SPC carries the compressor line as an authorized distributor, which means equipment specifications and factory warranty terms flow through a documented channel — not gray-market sourcing.

Why source Atlas Copco through SPC Company?

Authorized Atlas Copco channel

SPC sources the Atlas Copco compressor line direct as an authorized distributor, so the spec you quote — G-series, GA VSDS, AQ, or SF — is the spec that ships, backed by Atlas Copco's factory warranty with SPC as the single point of contact.

Equipment expertise, honest parts expectations

The Atlas Copco aftermarket parts channel carries lead-time friction SPC does not hide.

Right-sized for the distribution network

Through the distribution network, SPC aggregates demand so smaller operators access Atlas Copco equipment pricing and availability that otherwise favors national accounts — with a distributor who knows compressed air, not just the catalog.

Not sure which Atlas Copco line?

Answer a couple of quick questions and we'll point you to the right Atlas Copco compressor.
Fixed demand vs. variable demand

Steady, predictable air demand (e.g., a single large machine running at constant load) suits a G or GA fixed-speed unit. Variable demand — multiple shifts, fluctuating loads, or a plant that grows — points to the G VSD or GA VSD+/VSDS, where the drive adjusts output to demand and the energy savings compound over time.

Oil-injected vs. oil-free

Oil-injected (G/GA series) covers the majority of industrial plant-air applications cost-effectively. Where air contacts product, packaging, or a sensitive process — food, pharma, electronics — the AQ or SF oil-free line provides ISO 8573-1 Class 0 certified air without the risk of downstream contamination.

Single unit vs. duplex / redundancy

For the workshop/small-industrial flow band where a factory-engineered duplex is more practical than building one, the 2WIN G-series twin package runs two pumps on one controller with automatic lead-lag alternation. Larger or mixed-size redundancy needs are addressed with standalone G/GA units plus the Atlas Copco Equalizer controller.

Horsepower range

G-series covers 3–125 hp for fixed-speed industrial duty. GA VSD/VSDS extends to 150 hp on the variable-speed side. Oil-free: AQ rotary VSD runs 20–75 hp; SF scroll runs 1.5–30 hp for small-footprint and low-noise applications.
