Applied System Technologies (AST) engineers and manufactures the TruLink aluminum modular piping system in the United States, assembling and shipping from their Charlotte, NC headquarters. With 50+ years of industry experience behind the product line, TruLink is built around marine-grade aluminum tubing extruded in the USA — a design choice that reduces lead times and meets domestic-content requirements in a way that imported aluminum piping cannot.

The system is held together by seven patented connection technologies — the Push-to-Connect for smaller-diameter drops and the Clamp-to-Connect for large-bore headers — each using a spaced double O-ring seal that compensates for installation misalignment and remains leak-free across the rated 230 psi / 300°F operating envelope. AST backs this with a lifetime warranty on all pipe and fittings, the only manufacturer in the industry to do so.

TruLink's smooth-bore aluminum bore eliminates the internal corrosion and scale buildup that degrades steel or iron piping over time, keeping pressure loss low on long header runs without the cost or weight of stainless steel alternatives. The system meets ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Power Piping Code recommendations and is ISO 8573 certified, making it a documentable choice for clean-air installations.

Why source AST TruLink through SPC Company?

Direct line on a USA-made system

SPC sources TruLink direct as an authorized channel, which means current pricing and real availability — not distributor gray-market lead times — on a domestically manufactured product that already has short supply chains built in.

Sized for the whole plant

TruLink spans 14 mm small-bore drops to 273 mm large-diameter headers.

Warranty backed by a distributor who stays

The lifetime warranty on TruLink pipe and fittings is only as good as the channel behind it.

Not sure which AST TruLink line?

Answer a couple of quick questions and we'll point you to the right TruLink configuration.
Pipe diameter (drop vs. header)

14–63 mm drops and sub-headers use the Push-to-Connect fitting system for fast, tool-free assembly. 73–273 mm large-bore headers shift to the Clamp-to-Connect method for the rigidity large-diameter runs require. Start with the compressor output CFM and header velocity target to size the main, then work outward to drops.

Pressure and temperature requirements

TruLink is rated 230 psi / 300°F across the full diameter range. For standard industrial plant air (100–175 psi, ambient temperature), the system is over-specified — that headroom is the safety and longevity margin, not a reason to upsize the pipe.

Domestic-content requirement

TruLink tubing is USA-extruded. For government, defense, or Buy American projects that require documented domestic manufacture, TruLink is a direct answer; most imported aluminum piping alternatives are not.

New install vs. retrofit

Push-to-Connect fittings require no special tooling and allow branch tees to be added without draining or cutting the main — making TruLink especially practical for phased expansions or adding drops to an existing header run.
