Extended-drain synthetic lubricants purpose-built for industrial compressors.
Synthetic. Extended. Proven.
AMSOIL pioneered the extended-drain synthetic lubricant category in 1972 when founder A.J. Amatuzio introduced the first API-rated 100% synthetic motor oil with a published extended-drain recommendation — coining the phrase "extended drain intervals" in the process.
That founding principle — engineer the lubricant to outlast the conventional fill, then prove it with published intervals — defines every product in the AMSOIL line. In 2021, AMSOIL formalized its industrial business as AMSOIL Industrial, a dedicated business unit focused on B2B customers running rotary-screw, rotary-vane, and reciprocating compressors. The SIROCCO ester-based and PC Series PAO-based synthetic compressor oils carry roughly 8,000-hour extended drain intervals (with oil analysis and a PM program) — cutting oil change frequency roughly in half against conventional fills and reducing the disposal, labor, and downtime cost that goes with each change-out. A published OEM cross-reference covers major compressor brands, so the transition from the factory fill is a datasheet lookup, not a chemistry experiment. AMSOIL holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification across its manufacturing operations and produces NSF H1-registered synthetic oils for incidental food-contact applications — giving food and beverage plants the same extended-drain economics with an audit-compliant lubricant.
SPC carries AMSOIL Industrial as its dedicated compressor-lubricant line, so the standard synthetic fill and the NSF H1 food-grade fill are quoted from the same distributor — no split sourcing between food and non-food zones of the same plant.
The 8,000-hour drain interval on the standard line cuts change-out frequency roughly in half against conventional oil, which reduces both consumable spend and labor.
Through the distribution network, AMSOIL Industrial availability and pricing are backed by aggregated demand across the network, with SPC as the single point of contact for quoting, OEM cross-referencing, and after-sale support.
Food & Beverage Processing → NSF H1 food-grade synthetic compressor oil for plants where the lubricant or air may contact product.
General Manufacturing → Standard PC Series or SIROCCO extended-drain fill for rotary-screw and vane compressors.
Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Laboratory → NSF H1-registered fill for compressors in pharmaceutical production with incidental food-contact audit requirements.
Automotive Manufacturing → Extended-drain synthetic compressor oil for plant air compressors in body, paint, and assembly operations.
Chemical & Petrochemical → Synthetic compressor oil for process-air compressors requiring long drain intervals and varnish resistance.
Packaging & Printing → Extended-drain fill reducing PM frequency on compressors serving high-uptime packaging lines. Rotary-screw or rotary-vane → PC Series (PAO, ISO 32–150) or SIROCCO (ester). Reciprocating → PC Series. Match ISO viscosity grade to the OEM recommendation; use the AMSOIL published OEM cross-reference to confirm the replacement grade for the specific compressor model.
Specify the AMSOIL NSF H1-registered food-grade compressor oil. Available in standard ISO viscosity grades. The same extended-drain economics apply — roughly 6,000 hours on rotary-screw duty — with the NSF H1 registration number for the compliance file.
Conventional compressor oil typically changes at 2,000–4,000 hours. AMSOIL PC Series targets 8,000 hours with an oil analysis program. SPC can map the customer's current PM schedule to put a labor-and-disposal dollar figure on the interval extension before committing to the switch.
SIROCCO ester base is preferred for applications where solvency (cleaning residues from prior conventional fills) is valuable or where the OEM specifies an ester-compatible lubricant. PC Series PAO is the general- purpose extended-drain choice and spans the widest viscosity range (ISO 32–150).
